About Me
I was born and raised in St. Petersburg Florida and moved to Greenwich, CT to accept the position of Director of Strength & Conditioning at ProSwing Port Chester, NY. My passion is to encourage and motivate both fitness and non-fitness enthusiasts to become a better person/athlete through knowledge and motivation.
Since 2005 I have completed all sorts of endurance events from the exciting Chicago Marathon (3:57:52) to my home town favorite and world famous St. Anthony's Triathlon. Not only am I an endurance athlete but I am also a believer of short/explosive anaerobic movements. Having played soccer for over a decade as well as other explosive sports, I know the significance of training for speed and power. During 2007 I spent a semester in Coral Springs, FL at the Cris' Carter's FAST Program as a Speed, Quickness & Agility Assistant Coach. Here is where I became interested in pushing athletes of all levels (recreational to Olympians) in all sports to reach their maximal athletic performance.
With my passion for both types of training and my extensive education, I have learned that in order for athletes to achieve their fullest potential, a multitude of training regimes must be implemented to stimulate all systems of the body. Far too often both endurance and strength 'trainers' rely on opinions and other information that has no scientific support. I rely on the facts; published scientific research from credible sources. It is important to sort through fact or fiction when it comes to nutrition and supplements. With that said, every person should be treated as an individual.
